Bishop Brokaw was born and raised in Exeter, CA. He attended Christian Life College in Stockton, CA. After college, he taught in Texas Bible College and Christian Life College and established a K through 12th grade academy in Turlock, CA. He and his wife, Ruth Brokaw, pastored in Turlock, CA and Milwaukie, OR a suburb of Portland) and have traveled extensively throughout the world on missions endeavors. In May of 2002, they moved back to his home area, Visalia, CA, to found Heritage Church. He is a Bible scholar and ministers true to the Word.

Ruth Brokaw has enjoyed many years pastoring with her husband, Leon Brokaw, Senior Pastor of Heritage church. She has taught music and various classes in two K through 12th grade schools, as well as being Dean of Music in two Christian colleges. She is now the Worship Pastor and Performing Arts Director at Heritage Church. Her department offers many opportunities for children, youth and adults to be involved in music and drama.

Dan Carter was born and raised in Visalia, graduated high school in 1966 and married his high school sweetheart in November 1967. In May 1968 he was drafted into the Army and is now a Viet Nam veteran. In 1999, he returned to Viet Nam with Dave Roever and his ministry. This awesome experience showed Dan it was time to serve God as a minister. He received his ordination from VNTFI in Mesquite,Texas. Dan has a great desire to see the men of Heritage Church become strong spiritual warriors in Gods army.

Born and raised in the small farm town of Caruthers, California, Lisa's life was all about work and church. Serving God and being involved in the church was just about all she knew. Then, in 1999, she married her husband, Eddie, and moved to Bakersfield where they joined forces in an equally strong desire to serve the Lord. They were involved with the Youth ministry and continued in that work until they moved to Visalia in 2002 and became members of Heritage Church where Lisa started teaching in the nursery class. Although the Children's ministry had always been her passion, in about 2008 she felt the Lord call her to become part of the Women's ministry. Lisa has a strong desire to help women grow to a new level in their spiritual life. Her goals are to bring the women of Heritage together to allow the Lord to change their lives, to develop ways that we can change the lives around us, and to grow together to become more confident women in Christ.

Jon grew up in a Christian enviroment, attending Pattens University and receiveing a BA in Sacred Music. He has a passion for various Martial Arts, music and youth. He has a credential in substitute teaching and has taught at a several schools in a variety of subjects. His favorite passion, however, is working with teens and seeing a difference happen in their lives through Jesus Christ. He currently works with the Heritage Church Youth on Sundays and on Friday nights.

Giving his life to Christ at age 10 and developing a lasting relationship with Him over the years, Roger has ministered to children and youth from Kindergarten through young adults for almost 30 years. Being the father of four and grandfather to six fuels his passion for Christian education and a desire to encourage everyone to embrace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Making the Bible come alive and relevant for children and impacting future generations has burned in his heart for decades. Roger came to Heritage Church in 2006 after having ministered in Fremont, CA for over 25 years in various roles.
Sherrill started teaching Sunday school at age 12. She has taught Sunday school to children from preschool through sixth grade and currently teaches and coordinates the toddler/preschooler teaching team at Heritage Church. Professionally trained as a lay Christian counselor, she seeks to share the Bible’s message of hope. Whether leading Bible studies or, with Roger, educating small groups on marriage and family living to bring emotional and spiritual health to the church body, serving Christ and His people is Sherrill’s primary passion. She currently works as a licensed Realtor, was Church Administrator for over seven years in Fremont, CA, and previously held administrative assistant positions for large corporations.

Rebecca has a heart to see everyone happy and not forgotten. She grew up in a Christian enviroment, attending a private Christian school from 3rd grade thru high school. She attended college, with a focus on Theology and Sign Language. Rebecca has been involved in secular college campus ministry, childrens education, and music. She is currently spearheading the Prayer Minstry along with being in charge of church-wide Communications (see below).

Landon has served for 13 years in ministry. He has enjoyed leading Jr High, High School and College Career groups. Landon has a great passion for worship and praise which God has fostered through 20 years of worship team musicianship and leadership. He received a BA in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and has worked in various Sales, Marketing and Management positions for large corporations. Although he grew up in church, it was during his college years he found a deep relationship and passion for Christ. He now lives in Visalia, CA with his wife, Stefanie, and their 2 daughters.

Rebecca has a heart to see everyone happy and not forgotten. She grew up in a Christian enviroment, attending a private Christian school from 3rd grade thru high school. She attended college, with a focus on Theology and Sign Language. Rebecca has been involved in secular college campus ministry, childrens education, and music. She is currently connecting people through Heritage Church Social Events and Calendar as well as the weekly church bulletin. She is also responsible for the Prayer Ministry (see above).
